Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to postpone our 2020 Armonk for Autism race. More details to come.

OUR MISSION

 

To support and foster the independence of kids with autism and other developmental differences.

We hope to bring together our community to engage in creating a better future for our kids, specifically focused on education, integration, and respect for all.

 

Description

Armonk for Autism is a 501(c)3 nonprofit formed by Byram Hills High School student, Reese Tateo. All proceeds from this race will be donated for programs and equipment designed to help kids with autism and special needs in the Byram Hills School District.

  • 7:30 ‌am:‌ ‌Packet pickup is open‌ ‌near starting line at 111 Bedford Rd

  • 8:00 am: Stretch stations open, courtesy of Access Physical Therapy and Wellness of Armonk

  • 8:15‌ ‌am:‌ ‌Warm‌ ‌up‌ ‌stretch‌ ‌with‌ ‌Gwen‌ ‌Torre,‌ ‌Certified‌ ‌Yoga‌ ‌&‌ ‌Fitness‌ ‌Instructor‌ ‌

  • 8:30‌ ‌am:‌ ‌KIDS‌ ‌DASH‌ ‌

  • 8:45‌ ‌am:‌ ‌RUN/WALK ‌BEGINS‌ ‌

  • 9:30‌ ‌am:‌ ‌Awards‌ ‌Ceremony‌ 

Same-day registration fee is $40; only cash can be accepted.

KIDS DASH (FREE!)

All kids, ages 4 to 14, are invited to join in our free kids dashes before the 5K!

Top finisher in each dash wins a first place medal!

(There will be three dashes: ages 4-6, ages 7-10, ages 11-14)

 

The kids dashes will begin at 8:30.

COURSE

Below are the turn by turn directions. Race is to start and finish at the same point.
 
1.  Starting line: 111 Bedford Rd (Elide Plaza)

2.  Left on McDonald ave. Continue past HCC and Wampus schools, onto Wampus Ave.

3. Left on School St.

4. Right on Rt 128.

5. Right on Leisure Farm Rd.

6. Right on Cox Ave.

7. Continue down Cox to turnaround point at Rose Hill Drive intersection. There will be a water station set up at this point!

8. Follow the same course back, and finish in same location as the start.
